PREVENTATIVE HYGIENE

Preventative hygiene, commonly referred to as a routine dental cleaning or prohylaxis, is a procedure performed to thoroughly clean your teeth and prevent disease and decay.

It is recommended that you have a routine dental cleaning twice per year to prevent more serious issues in the future.

During your visit, we will examine your mouth for any signs of cavities, abscesses or oral cancer. Then a dental hygienist will thoroughly clean your teeth to remove bacteria, tartar and plaque build up. They will finish with a nice polish and application of fluoride.
